The Brief

Sign Directions magazine was the voice of the UK Sign industry for 20 years. In 2017, after discussions with numerous advertisers and contributors, the editor decided it was time for the magazine to go completely digital, and so a new website was required.

The site had to built so it was easy to add news, easy to navigate, but offer a strong visual presence. The site also had to offer multiple advertising opportunities and revenue streams.

The Solution

JMHDigital designed a site with the a strong new identity to help separate it from the magazine, but also reflect the importance of a good design. We used an element builder so that that home and category pages could be adapted depending on what needed to be displayed, for example adding a temporary section for exhibition previews.

We looked at ways to build in multiple opportunities for display advertising, using the builder, and a third party plugin, which allows the adverts to rotate and offers tracking, so analytics can be provided to advertisers.

Complete web management

JMHDigital, is responsible for all the technical maintenance of the site, including optimisation, social media integration to help build traffic for the site.

We also run the advertising for the website, provide analytical data, and look for new potential advertising solutions and increased revenue streams.

We create original content for the site and contribute to the overall news of the site.
